Ronny L. Mayne
Ronny Mayne was born in 1961 and spent his childhood on a small farm near Beetown, Wisconsin, located near the bluffs of the Mississippi River. Ronny learned to appreciate nature and to understand wildlife at a very early age. His interest in art and woodworking began as a child, although he had no formal training. Ronny displays his artistic talents by creating his own unique designs. His love of nature and the outdoors is illustrated by his realistic wildlife pieces.
Ron began woodworking by handcrafting furniture, shelves and many other types of wood crafts. After completing a course in small business, he developed a business plan for his own company. He started by creating three-dimensional pieces using a craft called Intarsia. This eventually led him into the art of carving.
Ron uses a variety of hand tools and rotary tools to carve pine beams, old barn beams and various other types of wood for fireplace mantles. He specializes in custom designs that are tailored to the individual customer’s request. He uses a combination of deep relief, light relief and wood burning to create a variety of styles and textures. He enjoys using his creative abilities to the fullest.
Ronny currently lives in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin with his wife, Lisa, and carves in his garage workshop. His work is also displayed at the showroom of Golden Eagle Log Homes in Wisconsin Rapids.
